Our Falconry gloves...

The ideal thickness for a falconry glove depends heavily on the species of bird you’re flying, and also the manners of the individual bird.

On one hand (if you’ll excuse the pun), you want to be able to ‘feel’ the bird on your fist, so that you can respond to its movements. But at the same time, you need to be properly protected from the bird's talons.

Made from carefully selected deerskin, our single-thickness falconry gloves are well suited to most birds of prey. However, if you’re flying a very powerful bird such as a female redtail or a large falcon, then one of our double-thickness gloves would be a safer choice. We’re always happy to advise on which glove is best for you and your bird.
